Last minute present idea: Homemade pretzel peppermint bark

Hello Everyone! Today I will be showing you an easy way to make peppermint bark that doesn’t take a ton of time. Pretzel peppermint bark is even better than traditional peppermint bark because it has crunchy pretzels! Just imagine biting into peppermint chocolate followed by a crunchy pretzel. The only thing that could make peppermint bark even better is pretzels! My favorite thing about this recipe is that you don’t need to spend a ton of time to get an amazing result. It’s super easy and fun! Let’s get started!!

Ingredients
4 tsp Peppermint extract
12 oz Semi-sweet chocolate chips
24 oz White chocolate chips
4 tsp Coconut oil
3 Candy canes
Directions

First, in a 1 qt microwave safe bowl, add 1 tsp of melted coconut oil to chocolate chips. Put bowl in microwave on high power for 45 seconds. Stir chocolate until smooth (Add 10-15 more seconds if needed). Next, line a small baking sheet with wax paper.

Then, spread melted chocolate evenly onto wax paper. Place mini pretzels on top of chocolate spaced about a half inch apart in 4-5 rows. Then, place cookie sheet with chocolate and pretzels into the freezer for 10-15 min to harden chocolate.

In the meantime, in a 1 qt microwave safe bowl, add 2 tsp of melted coconut oil to white chocolate chips. Put bowl in microwave on high power for 45 seconds. Stir chocolate until smooth. Add 10-15 more seconds if needed. It’s best to melt white chocolate in intervals as white chocolate can burn more easily.

Next, stir in peppermint extract into melted white chocolate. Then, spread melted white chocolate evenly on top of cooled chocolate that is on cookie sheet. Finally, top with crushed candy canes.
