The Best Banana Bread EVER

Hello, today I am sharing my favorite recipe for making banana bread. I found this recipe when looking online to find something to do with our overly ripe bananas. And, I found this delicious recipe! If you are looking for an easy recipe where you have everything at home, look no further. This is a quick and simple recipe that gives you a great flavor in the end. I made it about 2 weeks ago for my grandfather who loves banana bread- it was a hit! I would and will use this recipe again. I hope you like it as much as I do!


1/2 cup butter

1 cup sugar

2 medium eggs, beaten

3 ripe bananas (crushed)

1 1/2 cups flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon vanilla (optional)



Preheat the oven to 350º.  Mix together butter and sugar. Crush the bananas and add both eggs and crushed bananas. Combine well. Now, in a different bowl sift together the flour, baking soda, and salt. You can now combine the two mixtures. Lastly, you add the vanilla to the final batter (optional).

You will want to mix just until everything is combined (don’t overmix). Grease and flour a loaf pan, and pour the batter in. Bake the bread at 350º for 50-55 minutes. I personally enjoy mine moist, so if you like that too cook the banana bread for 45 min.
